Makes reading fun for everyone!!!
Houston-Love Memorial Library offers an excellent opportunity for the blind and physically handicapped patrons of Dothan and surrounding areas. This library has an extensive selection of reading material via cassette recordings and brochures for various activities; braille is also available if requested. The cassette recordings are provided along with cassette players if the patron qualifies for the services, all this can be received by mail or if the patron likes he/she may come in and choose their material.
To qualify for the Department of the Blind and Physically Handicapped services all the person or persons needs to do is:
Have a physical or seeing impairment that enables reading or physical movement
Obtain an application from Houston-Love Memorial Library
Fill the needed sections out informing the department of the desired material and preferences
Have your physician fill out and sign the designated area
Return to Houston-Love Memorial Library
