RULES:
1. Preschoolers through 6th graders for the school year 2009-2010 are
eligible to participate. Nonreaders may have others read to them.
Readers should read independently.
2. A reader needs his own valid library card to register. A parent or
guardian’s signature is needed to obtain a juvenile card, or update an old
card.
3. Participants may register at the Main Library in Dothan, at the Ashford or
Columbia Branches, or the Bookmobile, beginning June 8. Activities
end July 22, but certificates will be issued through August 3.
4. At the time of registration each person, with a parent’s help, will set his
own realistic goal for the number of books to be read (minimum of 10).
Each participant will be given a reading log on which to keep his own record.
5. Free activities have been planned for participants. These events will be
held in the Community Room at the Main Library.

6. A certificate and rewards will be given to each person who reaches his goal.

Due to limited space, parents and younger children are not permitted to attend these activities. Attendees must be registered participants in the Reading Program.

The activities for ages 2-4 are lapsits designed for parents and their child. The adult needs to remain with the child and together experience an enjoyable time with
stories for the very young. Positively no children younger than 2 may attend. We request that you please exit the room with your child should he become disruptive.
